Privacy policy
Who operates Retangle
Retangle is published by Daniel Chow / ZourGames. This policy describes Retangle on Android and iOS. Google, Apple and their service providers also process information under their own policies, potentially in countries other than yours.
Progress on your device
Puzzle progress, unfinished boards, settings and hint balances are stored on your device. Retangle has no app-operated account or cloud save. Your operating system may back up some app data according to your settings. Clearing data or uninstalling can lose progress and unused hints. Local app records are kept until cleared or replaced; operating-system backups are separate. On Android, achievements are optional and use your Google Play Games profile: when you are signed in to Play Games, Google receives your player profile and achievement progress under its own policy.
Purchases
Google Play or Apple processes payments. Retangle receives product and transaction identifiers and purchase status to deliver and restore eligible items; it does not receive your card details. Permanent purchases can be restored with the same store account. Already-consumed hint packs are not recovered from store restore. There is no cross-platform wallet.
Advertising
Google AdMob supplies ads. It and participating providers may process advertising or app identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device/app information, ad interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Processing depends on your region, consent and device settings. Required advertising choices are presented through Google UMP; optional rewarded ads require your action.
Remote advertising settings
Firebase Remote Config retrieves advertising settings on Android, such as frequency limits and an off switch. It may process a Firebase installation identifier and app, device and network information. iOS retrieves settings from the publisher’s public HTTPS service using platform networking. Settings are cached locally for offline use. These services are separate from optional usage reporting; requests expose network information such as your IP address to the service. Fetching settings does not execute a puzzle move or spend hints.
Optional usage and crash reports
Android sends Firebase Analytics puzzle progress and hint/ad events, app-instance/device information and usage timing, plus Crashlytics crash reports and diagnostics. This is on by default. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, identified reporting starts only if you allow storing information and measuring content performance in the privacy choices; until then Firebase Analytics receives only anonymous pings without a stored identifier, and no crash reports are sent. In those regions you can turn it off at any time with Usage & crash reports in Privacy; this stops future reporting but does not erase reports already received. Elsewhere the switch is not shown, and a choice saved in an earlier version is still respected. Retangle does not assign a game-account identity. iOS does not use this Firebase reporting.
Your choices
On Android, open Privacy & support in the game and use Usage & crash reports when the switch is available. Where required, Privacy choices reopens the advertising consent form. Your device settings also control advertising identifiers. Turning off optional reporting does not turn off ad-provider processing. You can clear local app data, but this may lose progress and hints. Contact us about access, deletion or other privacy requests; providers may require their own account controls. Manage or delete your Play Games profile and achievements in the Google Play Games app or your Google Account.
Support and requests
Email support@zourgames.com. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you send, and use it to respond and investigate. Include your device, app version and a description; avoid passwords and full payment details. Provider-held records may require Google or Apple support. We may need information to locate the relevant records; we do not promise an account-based deletion system. Support messages are retained to handle the request and related issues.
Policy changes
Updated October 3, 2026. We update this policy when Retangle or its data practices change. Review the policy in the app and the current publisher website before making privacy choices. Contact support@zourgames.com if you need clarification.
