Privacy Policy

On this page

This Privacy Policy explains how the independent developer known as Daniel Chow, operating under the ZourGames brand (“ZourGames,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the ZourGames website, the Solitaire browser game, or its Android and iOS apps (the “App”). Sections about AdMob, UMP, platform accounts, and in-app purchases describe the native apps; browser behavior is explained separately below. The Android version of the App is published under the package name com.gametravel.solitaire. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, contact us at support@zourgames.com.

The short version

We want this to be understandable without reading pages of legal language.

Website and browser game

Local browser storage

The website stores your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. The browser game uses local storage and IndexedDB to save progress, settings, and local statistics on your device. These saves are specific to the browser profile and do not sync to another browser, device, or the native apps. We do not operate a ZourGames account or cloud-save service for them. Clearing site data deletes these records; private browsing or restricted storage may not retain them.

Website delivery

We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the website and browser game. Cloudflare processes connection and request information, including IP addresses and traffic routing data, to provide those services. This is separate from the game saves stored in your browser. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its handling of service data.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits and loading performance. Its browser script sends usage and performance measurements to Cloudflare, separately from your locally saved game progress. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or local storage to collect analytics, and does not track individual visitors across its customers' websites. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and its data collection explanation. This analytics service is separate from the browser game's Google AdSense advertising.

The browser game also uses optional Google Analytics measurement. Google's privacy service runs separately from ads and provides a consent message when required. The Analytics tag loads only when Google's analytics-purpose result allows it and, where the game offers the setting, you have not turned off usage analytics in Settings. It uses first-party analytics cookies to recognize a browser for sessions and return visits, separately from essential game saves. This measurement is limited to the gameplay site, not the homepage or other marketing pages. See the usage and diagnostics explanation below.

Browser advertising and platform services

The browser game uses Google AdSense for a sidebar display ad on sufficiently large gameplay windows. Ad requests wait until Google's privacy service provides the applicable consent or regional applicability signals. Google uses those choices to determine which ads may be served, including when personalized advertising is declined. Google and participating advertising partners may process cookies, browser identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. The homepage and other marketing pages do not display these gameplay ads.

The browser game provides the relevant consent and privacy controls where applicable; the native App's UMP instructions are not a browser consent control. See browser privacy choices and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. The browser game does not offer real-money purchases, Google Play Games, Game Center, or online leaderboards.

1. Information stored locally on your device — native apps

The App stores information locally so the game can function, including:

We do not currently operate a ZourGames cloud-save service for Solitaire. Simply storing this information on your device does not send it to ZourGames. However, some gameplay events or statistics may separately be sent to analytics or platform gaming services as described below. Deleting the App or clearing its local application data may delete locally stored game progress and settings.

2. Advertising

Google AdMob — Android and iOS

We use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads to provide advertising in the App. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, advertising settings, and the type of ad being served, Google and participating advertising partners may collect or process:

The Android version may display banner, interstitial, native, and rewarded ads. The iOS version may display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads (no native ads). Advertising data may be processed by Google and, where applicable, advertising technology partners involved in serving or measuring advertisements. We do not receive your precise GPS location and do not request Android or iOS location permission for advertising.

Personalized and non-personalized advertising

Where permitted, advertising may be personalized using information such as advertising identifiers, activity, and other signals. Where applicable law requires consent, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain or record privacy choices. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily mean you will stop seeing advertisements; you may instead receive non-personalized or contextual advertisements. See also Your privacy choices.

3. App Tracking Transparency on iOS

On iOS and iPadOS, the App uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and may ask for your permission to allow tracking for personalized advertising and advertising measurement. If you grant permission, AdMob may access the IDFA and use it, together with other permitted information, for advertising and measurement. If you decline:

You can change your ATT permission later in your device's privacy settings. ATT permission and privacy-law consent are separate controls; declining an advertising-consent request is respected independently of your ATT setting.

4. Optional usage and diagnostics — Android and browser game

When usage reporting is allowed, Solitaire uses Google Analytics for Firebase in the Android app and Google Analytics 4 in the browser game. Information may include:

We do not assign a ZourGames account ID to Firebase Analytics, because Solitaire has no ZourGames account system. However, Firebase Analytics uses app-instance and device-related identifiers, so we do not describe this data as fully anonymous. We use it to understand which game modes and features are used, measure performance and engagement, understand where players encounter difficulty, measure advertising performance, improve the game, and plan future improvements. Usage analytics does not enable advertising identifiers, Google signals, or advertising personalization for analytics. Custom measurement events do not contain email addresses, purchase receipts or native order identifiers.

On Android, Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports. Crash reports may contain stack traces, app and device details, installation identifiers and recent diagnostic context. This helps us find crashes and failures that prevent normal play. Crashlytics is not used in the browser game. Where the switches are offered, turning off Usage & crash reports on Android stops all further reporting and discards unsent crash reports, and turning off Usage analytics in the browser stops further usage collection. Neither action automatically deletes records already received by Google. These controls are separate from ATT. See how Google uses information from apps and sites that use its services.

Android

Outside the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, usage and crash reporting is on and Settings shows no switch for it; a choice you saved in an earlier version is still respected. In those regions, Settings offers Usage & crash reports. Identified reporting starts only if you allow storing information on your device and measuring content performance in Google's privacy message. Until then, Firebase Analytics receives only anonymous measurement pings without a stored app-instance identifier, and no crash reports are sent; crash reports recorded before you allowed reporting are never sent. Turning the switch on counts as your consent. Turning it off stops all reporting, including anonymous pings. You can keep playing with it off.

iOS

The iOS app does not currently use Google Analytics for Firebase or Crashlytics. Native advertising and its ATT controls are described separately above.

Browser game

Google's browser privacy service loads alongside the game and applies the same analytics-purpose choices. It may show a required Google message even while browser ads are disabled. We do not add another analytics popup. Where Google's service asks for this choice, Settings also offers Usage analytics; you can turn it off and keep playing. Saved refusals remain effective; turning the setting on does not override a Google analytics denial. The browser game does not collect native crash reports.

5. Google Play Games — Android

The Android version supports Google Play Games Services (player authentication, achievements, leaderboards, and gameplay statistics). Solitaire currently includes 47 achievements and 21 leaderboards. When Google Play Games is used, Google may process your Play Games player identity and identifier, achievement progress, leaderboard scores, submitted gameplay statistics, and service diagnostics. Google Play Games is operated by Google; your use of your Google account and Play Games profile is governed by Google's privacy terms and account controls. ZourGames does not use Play Games information to build an advertising profile about you, and Solitaire does not currently use Play Games Saved Games or Google Drive cloud saving.

6. Apple Game Center — iOS

The iOS version supports Apple Game Center. If you choose to use Game Center, Apple may process information associated with your Game Center account and the game (player authentication, achievements, leaderboards, and related gameplay statistics). Game Center is operated by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy practices and account controls. ZourGames does not operate a separate account database using your Game Center identity and does not use Game Center information to build an advertising profile about you.

7. In-app purchases

Solitaire offers a non-consumable Remove Ads purchase and consumable coin packs. On Android, purchases are processed through Google Play Billing; on iOS, through Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. Google or Apple processes the payment transaction — we do not receive your credit card number, bank-account information, or other payment-card credentials. The App receives transaction information needed to deliver purchases and restore entitlements. When usage reporting is allowed, Firebase Analytics may record an in-app purchase event containing the product identifier, product name, and price for analytics purposes.

Depending on your location and applicable law, the App may display a privacy or consent message provided through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Such messages may allow you to:

The exact choices shown may vary by country or region because privacy requirements differ. In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's privacy message can collect analytics and advertising choices together. On Android we use your choices for storing information and measuring content performance, not permission to show ads, to decide whether identified reporting may start; without them only anonymous measurement pings are sent. In the browser game, Google's analytics-purpose result decides whether Google Analytics may collect data; if it is unavailable, usage analytics stays off. You can continue playing either way; there is no additional ZourGames consent popup. Where a “Privacy choices” option is made available in the App, you may use it to revisit your choices. See Your privacy choices for details. You may also use operating-system privacy settings to manage advertising identifiers and, on iOS, ATT permission. Purchasing Remove Ads removes the advertising covered by that purchase, but it is a commercial feature rather than a substitute for any privacy rights you may have.

9. How we use information

We do not use your Play Games or Game Center profile to create a ZourGames advertising profile.

10. Information shared with service providers and other parties

We do not operate our own advertising network, payment processor, analytics infrastructure, or gaming-account service. Information may therefore be processed by:

Advertising information may also be made available to advertising technology providers involved in selecting, delivering, preventing fraud in, or measuring advertisements, subject to applicable consent choices. We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or misuse, protect rights and safety, or complete a merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of the App or business, subject to applicable law.

No sale for money

ZourGames does not sell personal information for monetary payment. However, some privacy laws use terms such as “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than an ordinary monetary sale, and certain disclosures of identifiers or activity information to advertising providers may fall within those definitions. Where applicable law gives you the right to opt out of those practices, we provide or honor applicable privacy controls as required.

11. Data retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this Policy.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to an independent mobile-game publisher to protect information handled through the App. Information transmitted by major platform services such as Google's advertising, analytics, billing, and gaming services is generally transmitted using encrypted network connections. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Your choices and privacy rights

Your available rights depend on where you live and which privacy laws apply. Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; to receive certain data in a portable form; to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where applicable; and to lodge a complaint with a privacy authority.

To make a privacy request concerning information controlled by ZourGames, email support@zourgames.com. Because we do not operate a user-account system and much of the information in this Policy is held under device-level or service-specific identifiers, we may need additional information to identify data associated with a request, and in some cases may not be technically able to identify a particular analytics or advertising record as belonging to you. We will not require more personal information than reasonably necessary to verify and process a request. Some information is controlled directly by Google or Apple — requests concerning your Google account, Play Games profile, Apple ID, Game Center profile, or purchase records may need to be made through the corresponding Google or Apple privacy controls.

14. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply to you, our processing may rely on: consent (e.g., for personalized advertising, advertising identifiers, or analytics storage), performance of a contract (providing features or purchased entitlements you request), legitimate interests (app security, fraud prevention, diagnosing problems, and improvements that do not override your rights), or legal obligations. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful. Where required, advertising and analytics choices are collected through Google's privacy message. In those regions, Usage & crash reports in Android Settings controls optional reporting, including crash reports. You may also complain to the data-protection supervisory authority where you live or work.

15. California and other U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional rights, including the right to know/access, delete, and correct personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; opt out of targeted advertising; and limit uses of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money; however, advertising-related disclosures may be considered “sharing,” “sale,” or targeted advertising under some state laws. Where applicable, privacy choices may be provided through Google UMP (including U.S.-state privacy messages), device privacy settings, or other mechanisms we make available. You may also contact support@zourgames.com with a privacy request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

16. Children

Solitaire is intended for a general audience age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not participate in Google Play's Families program for this App. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information directly to ZourGames, and the App contains no ZourGames account-registration system, social chat, or user-generated-content system. Where we have actual knowledge that additional age-related protections apply, we apply the protections required by applicable law and relevant platform or advertising policies. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a way that requires deletion, contact us and we will delete it.

17. International processing

Google, Apple, and their service providers operate internationally, so information processed through advertising, analytics, gaming, billing, or platform services may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required by applicable law, the relevant provider or controller is responsible for using an appropriate legal mechanism for international transfers.

18. Information we do not intentionally collect

Solitaire does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise GPS location, health information, messages, calendar, or unrelated files. We also do not currently provide a ZourGames account system, user-to-user chat, user-created public content, cloud game saves, or push notifications. If these practices change in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable store disclosures.

19. Contacting us

If you voluntarily contact us by email, we receive the email address you use and the information you include in your message. We use it to respond, investigate problems, provide customer support, and maintain support records.

20. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our service providers, legal requirements, or our data practices change. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date above, and where required we will provide additional notice or obtain consent. The current version is always available at zourgames.com/solitaire/privacy.html.
