Terms of Service

On this page

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ZourGames website and Solitaire, including its browser game and native apps (the “App”), published by the independent developer known as Daniel Chow, operating under the ZourGames brand (“ZourGames,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The words “we,” “us,” and “our” are used for readability and do not imply that ZourGames is a corporation or other separate legal entity.

By visiting the website or downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Our Privacy Policy also explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Features differ by platform. The browser game runs at solitaire.zourgames.com, saves progress in your browser, and currently offers no real-money purchases, Google Play Games, Game Center, or online leaderboards. Browser saves do not transfer to the Android or iOS apps. References below to app-store purchases and platform accounts apply only to the native apps.

1. About Solitaire

Solitaire is an entertainment game that includes several solitaire card-game variants, including Klondike, FreeCell, TriPeaks, Pyramid, and Spider. Some features may use third-party services such as Google Play Games, Apple Game Center, Google AdMob, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. The App does not currently require a ZourGames account.

2. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms and any applicable app-store terms, ZourGames grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, non-commercial license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal entertainment use only. You do not acquire ownership of the App, its code, artwork, designs, or other content.

Except where applicable law expressly allows it, you may not:

Nothing in these Terms restricts rights that applicable law gives you and that cannot legally be restricted by contract.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App or related services. In particular, you must not knowingly:

Ordinary offline play, accessibility tools, and legitimate device features are not prohibited merely because they automate or alter device interaction.

4. Advertising

The free version of Solitaire may display advertising, including banner, interstitial, native, or rewarded advertisements depending on the platform and App version. Advertisements may be provided by third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob in the native apps and, when enabled, Google AdSense in the browser game. Browser advertising is currently disabled; it will not be requested until the applicable consent flow permits it. ZourGames does not necessarily control the content of individual third-party advertisements, and the appearance of an advertisement does not mean that ZourGames endorses, recommends, guarantees, or is affiliated with the advertised product, service, or advertiser. If you interact with an advertisement or leave the App through an advertisement, your interaction is governed by that party's terms and privacy practices. Advertising and related data practices are described further in our Privacy Policy.

5. Remove Ads purchase

The Android and iOS apps offer an optional Remove Ads in-app purchase. This purchase is not offered in the browser game. Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable digital purchase — it is not a subscription and does not automatically renew. The purchase removes the advertising covered by the feature as described in the App at the time of purchase.

Nothing in this section limits any refund, cancellation, guarantee, or other consumer right that applicable law gives you.

6. No real-money gambling

Solitaire is provided solely for entertainment. The App does not provide real-money gambling. You cannot wager real money through the App; win cash or cash-equivalent prizes from playing; or redeem game results, scores, achievements, or leaderboard positions for money. Success in the App has no monetary value. Any in-game coins, points, or similar rewards are for gameplay purposes only, cannot be purchased for or redeemed as cash, and have no real-world monetary value.

7. Third-party services

The website and browser game use Cloudflare for delivery and protection. Some native App features depend on services operated by third parties, which may include Google Play and Google Play Billing, Google Play Games Services, the Apple App Store and StoreKit, Apple Game Center, Google AdMob, and related platform or advertising services. Your use of those services may also be governed by the provider's own terms, privacy policies, and account rules. ZourGames is not responsible for the operation of third-party services and cannot guarantee they will always be available. For example, achievements, leaderboards, advertising, purchase processing, or restoration may temporarily be unavailable because of network conditions, platform outages, account restrictions, service changes, or other circumstances outside our control. The core App may also change if a third-party service changes or discontinues functionality on which a feature depends.

8. Intellectual property

Solitaire and its original content are owned by or licensed to ZourGames and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws, including (where applicable) source and executable code, game interfaces and layouts, original graphics and card designs, themes and visual assets, icons and artwork, text and localization content, sound and other media, ZourGames branding, and original game features and presentation. Traditional playing-card concepts, conventional solitaire rules, and other material in the public domain are not claimed as exclusive property merely because they appear in the App. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. Third-party trademarks, services, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Availability and changes to the App

We may update, improve, change, add, remove, or discontinue features of the App over time. We do not promise that every feature, advertisement provider, achievement, leaderboard, game service, or other online component will remain available forever. We may also release updates that are necessary for security, compatibility, store requirements, bug fixes, or changes to third-party services. Where required by applicable law, changes will not take away rights you have already acquired or mandatory remedies available to you.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the App will always operate without interruption; be completely free of bugs or errors; work on every device or operating-system version; always maintain access to third-party services; or preserve locally stored progress if the App or its data is deleted, damaged, reset, or lost. You are responsible for maintaining your device and any backups available to you. This section does not exclude warranties, guarantees, or other rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZourGames will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. To the extent liability may lawfully be limited, ZourGames' total liability arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the App and its in-app purchases during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Because Solitaire is free to download, this amount may be zero if you have made no purchase. These limitations do not apply where applicable law does not permit liability to be excluded or limited, and nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Mandatory consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights concerning digital content and services that apply regardless of what these Terms say. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict, or exclude rights that applicable law says cannot be waived, restricted, or excluded. In particular, consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom may have mandatory rights concerning conformity, quality, remedies, refunds, repairs, replacement, price reductions, or other protections for digital content. If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection that applies to you, the mandatory protection takes priority.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by closing the browser game or uninstalling the native app. Clearing the browser site data removes its local saves. The license granted under these Terms may terminate if you materially violate these Terms. Where appropriate and permitted by law, we may restrict access to online or third-party-connected features in response to fraud, abuse, manipulation, security threats, or serious violations of these Terms. Termination does not eliminate rights or obligations that arose before termination, including mandatory consumer rights and provisions that by their nature should continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, our business practices, applicable law, or third-party services change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If a change materially affects your rights and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any mandatory terms imposed by the app store through which you obtained the App, govern your use of Solitaire. They do not override any mandatory rights or obligations imposed by applicable law.
